About this guide

Places worth remembering.

A sketchbook can hold more than a view. It can keep the chair outside a cafe, the shape of a harbour or a detail you might otherwise forget. The Travel Sketchbook is designed to help you bring those observations together on the page.

The planned guide starts with a small portable kit and ways to choose a manageable subject. It explores quick scene studies, close-up details, handwritten notes and page arrangements that leave room for the next discovery.

You will be encouraged to create sequences of memories rather than chase a perfect drawing on every page. The same approach can begin on a local walk, a weekend outing or a longer journey.

Practical prompts and a planning notebook support your next sketching session. This guide is for adults who want a creative way to record the places they visit, using their own observations and a few simple tools.

Havelo / Study 03

A page about one place

Choose a place where you can pause comfortably. Make one main sketch to set the scene. Add two smaller details that caught your attention: a chair, a doorway or a cup on the table. Leave space for a date and a short note. Your page does not need to contain everything you saw. Choose what you want to remember.

Try this

Visit somewhere nearby. Make a page with one scene, two details and a sentence about what you noticed.

The kit

A pen and some paper

Paper or a sketchbook and a drawing pen. Nothing else is required to begin, and any additional materials will be listed in the completed guide. No drawing tools or physical books are included with the guide.

The pace

Repeat rather than finish

The prompts ask you to draw the same subject again, change your viewpoint and compare what you see with what you put on the page. Nothing here asks for a finished picture on the first attempt.

Before launch

What still has to happen

Each manuscript has to be finished and edited, the instructional sequence verified through real practice, the page counts and prices confirmed, and the actual file delivery and seller policies connected.

HAVELO is a collection in development. Book mockups illustrate digital editions; there is no physical shipping, and no drawing tools are included. Images are illustrative concept imagery, not documented student results or a real instructor’s artwork. Sales connect only when the full files and the delivery service exist.
